Bollywood’s Rockstar Ranbir Kapoor meets Sports star Messi

Bollywood’s very own “Rockstar” Ranbir Kapoor recently met with sports legend Lionel Andrés Messi in Barcelona. A pro football player himself, Ranbir Kapoor was excited to meet one of the best football players of his generation and recipient of five La Liga titles and  three Champions League.

While the two spoke at length about their respective fields, Messi taught Ranbir a couple of tricks and other nuances of the game which the Bollywood star immediately picked up given his passion for football. The footballer was also impressed with Ranbir’s knowledge and skill for the sport.

Says a source “Ranbir is a huge Messi fan and would have loved to watch the match in Kolkatta, however given his prior commitments couldn’t make it. His shoot schedule for Anurag Basu’s Barfee was pushed thanks to the rains and hence he could not be present for the match .While the rest of the industry was dying to meet the sports star ,Ranbir received a special invite to meet Messi ,which was a dream come true being the sports enthusiast that he is. As both the youth icons met, Messi personally autographed Ranbir’s cap and they spoke at length about their respective fields.Messi also taught Ranbir a couple of tricks of the game which he immediately mastered given his love for football”
