“Mere Brother Ki Dulhan” idea has taken fromMatrimonial ads!

Matrimonial ads in the classified pages of newspapers were what in reality inspired the debutant director of “Mere Brother Ki Dulhan”, Ali Abbas Zafar to come up with the idea of the movie.
“I used to see the matrimonial page of newspapers on Sundays. It’s a very creative page. There are so many ads well written seeking brides or bridegrooms. It has ads of every caste and culture – be it Hindu, Muslim, Sikh – and what’s most interesting is that all have almost same requirement,” Zafar told.
Zafar could see whole India together in one page, and so he started working on the project, to make it more entertaining and mass appealing.
The movie will also have a quick look of “Chupke Chupke” and “Golmaal”, as the director has taken inspiration from these films, to shape up MBKD..
Zafar is at present working on his second script.
