Madhur Bhandarkar’s film, ‘Heroine’, seems to be in news for too many reasons even before its release. Well, the movie was first offered to Kareena Kapoor, but she refused. Then, it went to Aishwarya Rai who had to back out of the movie because of her pregnancy. Now, rumor has it that some sources claim Kareena has at last agreed to do the film with some conditions of course.
The newest report is that, Kareena has not signed the dotted lines just yet as she has asked for a remuneration of Rs.10 crore. ‘Heroine’ is Madhur Bhandarkar’s and UTV’s ambitious project and they are willing to do whatever it takes to ensure the movie is made smoothly. If the reports are to be believed and if UTV agrees to pay Kareena the amount, she will be the highest paid actress in Bollywood.
But there has been no verification regarding this news either from Kareena or from the producers. But so far, it looks like Aishwarya’s loss is definitely Kareena’s gain, because if Kareena would have accepted the movie the first time around, she wouldn’t have been able to put down her demands. Also, until recently, Aishwarya was the highest paid actress. She was reportedly paid nearly Rs.5 crore for her bilingual movie ‘Robot’/’Endhiran’.
