Farhan Akhtar replaces Akshay Kumar for ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’!

After a stunning performance in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Farhan Akhtar will now play Milkha Singh in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s biopic on the ace Indian athlete titled Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.

The movie will cover Milkha’s life, right from his growing days in Pakistan, how the partition happened and then his achievements as an athlete in free India.

A source told, “Farhan is an extremely fit guy. He likes to do roles that challenge his acting skills to the maximum. To get into the character of Milkha Singh is not going to be easy either.”

Previously, reports had it that Akshay Kumar had been finalized for the role. Milkha had told, “I strongly feel that my role should be played by Akshay Kumar. Being a Punjab da puttar, he has the right physique and also acts well.”

However, Farhan has been finalized for the role. The movie will go on the floors next year.
