Sanjay Dutt is reluctant about Politics!

His famous father was a successful actor and politician, but when Sanjay Dutt plunged into politics in 2009, he couldn't repeat the late Sunil Dutt's success story. Now, the actor has vowed never to return to that field again.
'I don't want to return to politics. I want to be away from it. I will never think of getting back there,' Sanjay, whose younger sister Priya Dutt is an MP from the Mumbai North Central constituency, said.
During the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Sanjay, who was nominated by the Samajwadi Party from Lucknow, a seat once held by former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee of the Bharatiya Janata Party, was disqualified from contesting as he was convicted for illegally storing and then destroying arms during the 1993 Mumbai blasts. The Supreme Court refused to suspend his conviction to permit him to contest.
'I had gone to UP (Uttar Pradesh) for three months. But I feel that the acting we do in films is better than the acting that people do on stage there. So I don't want to do that,' the actor laughingly told.
The 51-year-old was also appointed the Samajwadi Party's general secretary but he resigned after a short stint.
