Saif says, Aishwarya’s presence in Cannes is worthless!

People at Cannes are very used to see Aishwarya Rai Bachchan given the fact that she lands up at the film festival every year. Actors Sonam Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan were new faces at the film festival since it was this year only when they went to the festival. Saif was there to represent and promote his forthcoming movie ‘Aarakshan’ based on caste reservations, directed by Prakash Jha. For Saif walking at the red carpet is a matter of respect and dignity but individual representation is not worth it. According to him, Aishwarya has become a known face in the mass because she is gorgeous.

He feels the main reason of coming here should be to show the talent of the movies made in India, which actually is more important than anything else. He also feels that being there at Cannes means you have an international platform to appreciate each others’ talent. From various parts of the countries, people come together; join hands to make an international film festival a grand success. There are a lot of directors and producers, who make movies of different genres and types; they should also be given a chance to be here according to Saif.
