Giving tough competition to the Original Idiot –Bharat Bhushan is Raghu Burman , an annoyingly comic character essayed bywriter/director/actor Amole Gupte in Mukul Deora and Sagar Ballary’s Bheja Fry 2,the sequel to the 2007 comic riot .
Playing the hysterical song-fixated character Raghu Burman –a hardcore RD Burman fan ,Amole Gupte is all set to pay tribute to Bollywood’s most loved music director .
Says director Sagar Ballery “Today’s generation is still very much aware of Burman’s music and so we’ve used his songs and music extensively with Raghu Burman- the character Amole Gupte essays in the film”
Amole Gupte known to be very particular about the films he chooses to associate with, was so kicked about the script that he got onboard immediately to play the quirky character who’s quite the match for our brain frying protagonist.
Says a source “After the success of Stanley Ka Dabba that showcased Amole’s excellence behind the camera comes Bheja Fry 2 that will establish him as one of the finest comic actors - The script of Bheja Fry 2 had him in splits and he agreed to get onboard immediately “
Produced by Mukul Deora and directed by Sagar Ballery ,Bheja Fry 2 - the film that promises to tickle your funny bones starring Vinay Pathak, KK Menon, Minissha Lamba, Suresh Menon & Amol Gupte, comes to a theatre near you June 17th,2011.
