Dilip Kumar gives Rs. 15 lakh to support CINTAA!

Dilip Kumar is no more active in movies, but ready to lend support for the welfare of the film industry people. The 88-year-old veteran has determined to donate Rs.15 lakh for the construction of one floor in the 16-storey building of Cine & Television Artistes' Association (CINTAA) here.
"There is a trust called the Cine Artiste's Welfare Trust that was set up by senior artists like Amjad Khan, Dilip Kumar, Mithun Chakraborty and Dara Singh, among others, in 1992. Dilip Kumar has given a donation of Rs.15 lakh under the building fund of that trust, which will be used for the construction of the building," vice president of CINTAA, told.
"Apart from that we also have Rs.5 crore that we generated through Star Plus and the show 'Superstars Ka Jalwa' last year," he included.
The land for CINTAA's tower in Andheri West has been donated by the state government. The building, to come up closest to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital near Lokhandwala Complex, will have office on the ground floor, a medical floor, a preview theatre, rehearsal hall and a cafeteria.
"We have applied for all the necessary permissions and the foundation stone has also been laid. Now construction will start in another three-four months and I think in two-three years the building will be ready and operational," told Chauhan.
