Ranbir’s film faces problem in casting lead actress!

It's a case of musical chairs as regards the casting. Ayaan Mukherjee's second film, crafted under the banner of Dharma Productions has been courting controversy majorly owing to its change of lead actors.

Male star Ranbir Kapoor remains the fixed factor, though the female leads have been a vacillating factor. Earlier News hinted that Deepika Padukone and Ranbir had sorted out their differences and were ready to pair up efficiently for the Ayaan helmed film.

Reportedly, Deepika and Ranbir have been pals for quite a while and Ayaan penciled her in for the project as he thought that she was suitable for the movie. But, Katrina Kaif, Ranby's then rumored love interest wasn't too satisfied with this turn of events. Besides, there was talk that Katrina was angling for the role herself.

Matters took another course altogether, when Kat's liaison with Ranbir hit breakup. Very soon, the rumour mill was set ringing with talk that Ranbir was showing extraordinary interest in a new gal: Anushka Sharma (spurred on furiously, by the actress herself, as per insiders). Sensing this development and keeping in mind the sensitive DP and Kat equation with Ranbir, a clever Ayaan has reportedly roped in Sharma for his forthcoming film.

Rejecting all such talk as premature, Johar quips in a tabloid quote that "the only person signed on for the movie is myself… as the producer."
