Hrithik romances Katrina between 24 tonnes of one crore!

Zoya Akhtar’s movie ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ has an elaborate scene with Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif, Farhan Akhtar and Abhay Deol celebrating Tomatina festival.

Tomatonia is a Spanish festival in which they throw tomatoes at each other. Since, it is held in the month of August, Zoya had to recreate it for the movie. Around 16 tons of tomatoes were flown in from Portugal for the shoot. The tomatoes were imported because the scene was shot in Bunyol, Valencia, Spain and at that time the tomatoes were not ripe enough for the Tomatina in Spain. The team has truly shut down the town to shoot the scene.

Even 24 tonnes of tomato puree was used, which in totality cost the production Rs. 1 crore.
