‘Barfi’ is a special film for a mute and deaf Ranbir!

After seeing the promos of Anurag Basu’s next film, we can definitely say that the film is going to be one of an entertainer and the lead actor Ranbir Kapoor too vouches that Barfi is a special movie.

The songs of the film once again are sung by Mohit Chauhan who also sang for Ranbir in rockstar, is now being identified as Ranbir’s voice. And Ranbir Kapoor is content as well because Mohit agreed to sing for Barfi.

Ranbir said in an interview, “Barfi’ is a very special movie. Mohit babajee (Mohit Chauhan) has sung the title song ‘Aala re Barfi’ and I am very happy. A singer generally doesn’t get the credit for the importance he brings to the career of an actor.”

“But if you look at late singers Mohammad Rafi, Mukeshji, Kishore Kumar, they used to add a lot to an actor’s career. So I am grateful to Mohit babajee for giving me such a good song again in ‘Barfi’,” he added.

When asked how difficult it was for him to play the role of a person who could only show emotions through actions in ‘Barfi’, the 29 year old told, “It’s very easy. I am an actor and I should know how to act not just with my face but my body also. So I didn’t do any character or in-depth study, of 20 feet then how would you tell him that I am thirsty or I need to pee or I want to watch ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’? You’ll use physical actions or your eyes.”

Ranbir who plays the role of a mute and deaf boy also further added, “I am an actor and I should know how to act not just with my face but my body also. So I didn’t do any character or in-depth study”.

The movie also stars Priyanka Chopra and Ileana D’Cruz and is stated to release on september 14th.
