Pakistani actress Zara Sheikh’s debut in Bollywood!









Bollywood has always given good opportunities to Pakistani actors.

Pakistani actors may still be reluctant about pursuing their luck in Bollywood, but their female counterparts are scripting a different trend altogether.

For example, Meeta Shafi, Humaima Malik, Sarah Loren, Mehreen Syed, Saeeda Imtiaz, TV chat show host Mathira, Veena Malik and Meera are making serious progress in their pursuit of a big Bollywood break.

Now another Pakistani actress’s name has included in the list of Pakistani aspirants in the Bollywood.

Lately, another Pakistani actress Zara Sheikh is trying her luck in Bollywood with upcoming movie Honour Killing.

Zara Sheikh is a Pakistani model, actress and singer. She began her career through an ad campaign for Mobilink Jazz, working as a full-time model before making her debut on the cinema-screen.

Sheikh has acted in films such as Tere Pyar Mein, Salakhain and Laaj. In 2003, she branched into singing, playback singing for her movie Chalo Ishq Larain.

Most anticipating movie Honour Killings features the promising model and actress from Lahore, Zara Sheikh in a lead role. 

"I am really thankful to Avtarji for choosing me as a lead actress in the latest film Honour Killing. I am eagerly waiting for the Indian audience response about my performance”, reveals Zara Sheikh.

Director Avtar Bhogal wants new young face with Islamic cultural background for lead in Honour Killings and his search ends on Lahore born actress Zara Sheikh. 

Director brings together a multi-cultural cast and crew from India, Pakistan and Britain. Film Honour Killing is a love story which revolves around the contentious issue honour killing.






The film Honour Killing is set to release on 27th February 2015 in England and Pakistan.

Manisha Koirala to make comeback with Rajkumar Santoshi's next?

Manisha Koirala, who had taken a sabbatical from Bollywood to deal with her health issues is planning on making a comeback to Bollywood soon. According to close sources, there is a high possibility that the actress might work with Rajkumar Santoshi again after their collaboration for the hard hitting movie Lajja.


Manisha has disclosed that she has spoken to Santoshi a few times but is not ready to comment on any of the developments yet. She was last seen in the 2012 disaster Bhoot Returns. The talented actress may have chosen a few wrong movies in her career, but we really hope that we get to see her in challenging roles soon.

After Piku, Now Deepika Padukone’s 'Tamasha’ in Kolkata!

Deepika Padukone was busy shooting for Shoojit Sircar's Piku in Kolkata with Amitabh Bachchan and Irrfan Khan. She even lovingly nicknamed the Big B as Baba.

After wrapping up her schedule for Piku, seems like Deepika is back Kolkatta too shoot for Tamasha opposite Ranbir Kapoor along with director Imtiaz Ali. She was spotted wearing a yellow jacket, jeans and a floral top and look as fresh as ever.

The first schedule for Tamasha took place in Corsica, France after which the team moved to the snow-clad mountains of Shimla. Finally they are in Kolkata. Considering the diverse locations chosen, we are very curious about how Tamasha shapes up.

Abhishek Bachchan just has a passing shot in Shamitabh, says Big B!

A few days back, there had been rumors that Abhishek Bachchan will be seen in a cameo in forthcoming movie Shamitabh, which stars Amitabh Bachchan, Dhanush and Akshara Haasan, but Big B claims that it is just a passing shot and a cameo in the real sense.

Talking about it, Bachchan told that they were shooting for some scenes at the airport when Abhishek landed from a flight and came in the frame while passing by and Balki determined to capture him in the scene.


Shamitabh is slated to release on February 6.

Priyanka Chopra exhibits brand new hairstyle on Twitter!

Priyanka Chopra is presently busy with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's heroic saga Bajirao Mastani in which she plays Kashibai. But, in real life she is possibly the opposite of this historical character as she lately flaunted a modern, chic hair cut on Twitter for her fans to see.


She first told, "Time to do something spontaneous!! Feeling a bit adventurous..Chopping the tresses!!! She then tweeted a picture of herself with her hairdresser and Tweeted to her fans who asked her for a preview by saying "Just For you.." Most people would be of the opinion that the short hair do looks super sexy on piggy chops, we are glad at least someone is moving away from the long boring locks.

Parineeti Chopra to buy a house in Mumbai this year!

Actress Parineeti Chopra, who originally hails from Ambala, is planning to buy a plush pad for herself in Mumbai this year.


At a recent event, Parineeti disclosed, ''I have actually never bought a house because I came to Mumbai only four years ago and I have only been renting apartments till now but this year I’m closed to finalizing one and I will announce it very soon.''

Kareena Kapoor attends Punjabi classes for 'Udta Punjab'!

In Jab We Met, Kareena Kapoor Khan made all of us fall in love with her vivacious Punjabi character Geet. We will see her again in a Punjabi avatar for Abhishek Chaubey's forthcoming movie Udta Punjab, but this time Kareena has decided to prepare the professional way by taking Punjabi lessons.


The actress is set to undergo a 10-day training session with a Delhi based professor before she starts filming. Although Kareena's father Randhir Kapoor is Punjabi, being born and brought up in Mumbai, she isn't well versed with the language nor does she have a thick Punjabi accent, hence she decided to take extra help. It will interesting to see Kareena and Alia Bhatt in the same movie as both bring a raw energy to the big screen.

"Honour Killing" in England and Pakistan on February 27!

The release date of Avtar Bhogal's film "Honour Killing" has been locked - it will come out February 27 in England and Pakistan.

Featuring International starcast as Zara Sheikh, Sandeep Singh, Javed Sheikh, Tom Alter, Gulshan Grover, Prem Chopra, Clowe Wicks, Alexander Hulme and Sandeep Garcha, film "Honour Killing" is a love story which revolves around the contentious issue honour killing.

"I wanted to make a movie on the subject and was compelled to do so after discovering the problem existed in Britain. I am glad, I have got a chance to work with path breaking performers with a great ensemble cast," Avtar Bhogal, director of the film, told in a statement.

The film has been produced by Manmohan Singh and Harjinder Singh.

 “‘Honour Killing’ salutes every social activist who has the courage to oppose the sin work of killings on the name of honour. We have tremendous belief in Avtar's vision. He is by far one of the best storytellers and we are glad to support him for this social endeavor," told Manmohan Singh, a London based producer.

The film Honour Killing is set to release on 27th Feb 2015.
