Sonakshi imitates Sridevi, Parveen for disco song!

Tight leather pants and shiny dresses - the 1980s era saw it all. Now, new age actress Sonakshi Sinha is taking cue from actresses like Sridevi and Parveen Babi for a retro disco number that she has shot for the "Himmatwala" remake.

The number, choreographed by Chinni Prakash, is called "Thank god it's Friday".

The film's director, Sajid Khan, wanted to give Sonakshi the look of Sridevi and Parveen Babi. He roped in designer Manish Malhotra and Sonakshi, who admits working hard for the song, is happy with the result.

Superstar Amitabh Bachchan has won the title of India's Prime Icon.

Big B was crowned Thursday by Big CBS Prime's show "India's Prime Icon", where he was competing along with actors Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan (SRK), Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, A.R. Rahman, and Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi, among others.

Mahesh Bhatt's son book "Headley And I" gives an idea for a film!

Mahesh Bhatt's son Rahul's book "Headley And I", about the latter's companionship with 26/11 conspirator David Headley, will is to be made into a film. Producer Sunil Bohra has bought the rights of the book.

Rahul co-authored the book with Hussain Zaidi and it puts light on Rahul's disturbed relationship with his father and how Headley filled that vacuum for a while.

The first look launch of Ajay Devgn-Tamannaah starrer at Himmatwala!

Himmatwala is an forthcoming Bollywood action romance movie directed by Sajid Khan and jointly produced by UTV Motion Pictures and Vashu Bhagnani.

The movie features superstar Ajay Devgn opposite Tamannaah in the lead roles. It is an authorized remake of the 1983 blockbuster of the same name which itself was a remake of a Telugu movie Ooriki Monagadu of 1981. The first promo of the film released online on 24 January.

Though the water was terribly cold, I took three dips. One for my husband Raj, the other for my son Viaan and the third for myself”, told Shilpa.

Bollywood superstars Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan’s much hyped movies Dabangg 2 and Jab Tak Hai Jaan will be competing for the worst movie trophy.

The other movies that will be nominated in the same category include Housefull 2, Son of Sardaar, Khiladi 786 and Joker.

Akshay Kumar comes on top in the worst actor (male) category with his four releases – Housefull 2, Rowdy Rathore, Joker and Khiladi 786.

Ajay Devgn is also a part of this list with two nominations for Son of Sardaar and Bol Bachchan, Imran Khan for Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, Sanjay Dutt for his villainous role in Agneepath and Siddharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan for their debut Student Of The Year.

The Bollywood beauties are not to be left behind! Anushka Sharma (JTHJ), Sonakshi Sinha (for everything she did) and Deepika Padukone (Cocktail) have been nominated for for worst actor (female) Golden Kela Award 2012. They also have some fight from newcomers – Farha Khan for Shirin Farhad Ki Nikal Padi, Alia Bhatt for Student Of The Year and Diana Penty for Cocktail.

This year was the year of sequels with 8 sequels being released. Dabangg 2 is visibly the newest entrant into the category.

The 5th edition of the awards, also features awards categories like ‘Most Irritating Song’, ‘Most atrocious lyrics’, ‘Baawra ho gaya hai ke award‘, ‘Why are you still trying?’ award among many others.

“We could not help but nominate the ‘Indian Moviegoers’ in the ‘Bawara ho gaya hai ke award’ category for spending more than 600 crores on Bol Bachchan, Housefull 2, Agneepath, Rowdy Rathore and Ek Tha Tiger (we’ll keep adding the crores as figures keep coming in for Khiladi 786 and Dabangg 2),” said Jatin Varma, Founder, Golden Kela Awards.

The Golden Kela Awards have come up with a new category Anti Kela Awards, which will be announced shortly. Anti-Kela awards are given to the movies that were meaningful and entertaining, while still being in the mainstream.

Salman is magic: Aamir Khan

It’s a well known fact that Aamir Khan and Salman Khan are best friends in Bollywood. The former megastar wishes that Salman’s latest movie Dabangg 2, which hit theaters yesterday, should break all box office records.

“I am very happy for Salman and the entire team. Very best wishes to them, and I wish this film (Dabangg 2) is a super hit and breaks all records,” Aamir Khan told.

Viewers don’t like pakao film: Salman Khan

Salman Khan is very busy promoting his movie Dabangg 2, which also marks the debut of Arbaaz Khan as a director. The actor was recently caught in an interview where he spoke about his life, his movies and Dabangg. The actor told that if Dabangg 2 does well, it’ll be a Christmas and birthday present together.

Salman Khan told, “If people enjoy the film then it is a Christmas and birthday treat. Agar picture nahi chali to kaunsa treat? Jis hisaab se humko reactions mille hai, they are similar to what the first Dabangg was, so I think we are in the safe zone. I think emotionally, ethically and principally this film is correct. It is larger than the earlier one but neither very similar to the first one, nor very different.”

The actor is very satisfied with the love and response he receives for his movies, but he also thinks that his fans just don’t come to watch him, the come too watch the whole package.

India’s official film Barfi! is out of Oscars due to plagiarism influence!

India’s official entry to the Oscars, Anurag Basu’s Barfi, the tale of a hearing and speech impaired boy is out of the Oscars race as the Academy announced the list of nine movies that will advance to the next round of voting in the Foreign Language Film category for the 85th Academy Awards.

There were seventy-one films that originally qualified in the category. Michael Haneke’s ‘Amour’, Olivier Nakache and Eric Toledano’s ‘The Intouchables’ are among the shortlisted movies.

Sonam Kapoor takes Rekha’s advice for ‘Khoobsurat’ character!

Actress Sonam Kapoor, who will next be seen in theatres with Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, is supposedly starring in the remake of 1980 hit movie Khoobsurat.
